1794-OB16 Allen Bradley

The Allen-Bradley 1794-OB16 module is a digital DC output module for FLEX I/O. It has 16 current sourcing outputs. The minimum, maximum, and nominal on-state voltages are 10 Volts DC, 31.2 Volts DC, and 24 Volts DC, respectively. The output current rating of all the 16 outputs (each rated at 0.5 Amps) is 8 Amps while the minimum on-state current is 1 milliamp per channel and the maximum on-state current is 500 milliamps per channel. The maximum on-state voltage drop is 0.5 Volts DC. The surge current is 2 Amps for 50 milliseconds and it is repeatable every 2 seconds. The maximum off-state leakage current is 0.5 milliamps. The isolation voltage is 50 Volts continuous. The module has been tested at 850 Volts DC for 1 second between the users and the system.

The output signal delay for the 1794-OB16 module is 0.5 milliseconds for off-to-on and it is 1 millisecond for on-to-off. This module comes with Sixteen (16) channel 24VDC Discrete output channels that supports source wiring configuration. It is used with a terminal base and supports a variety of terminal base such as 1794-TB2,1794-TB3,1794-TB3S, 1794-TB3K and1794-TB3SK. The Up to Eight (8) instances of 1794-OB16 may be installed in a single Flex I/O rack. Additionally, the 1794-OB16 may also be used as local I/O adapter of FlexLogix Controller or the FlexLogix Local IO extender (1794-FLA). This module has a keyswitch position 2 and has an open-type enclosure rating.

The 1794-OB16 deliver output an output voltage range of 10 to 31.2VDC with nominal Voltage output of 24VDC. It measures 94 x 94 x 69 mm (3.7 x 3.7 x 2.7 in.) and weighs 78 g (2.75 oz.). This module does not come with internal fusing therefore, external fusing may be installed, as required by the system. Recommended fuse for installation of external fusing is SAN-O MQ4-800 mA fuses. This module is provided with Sixteen (16) fields side LED indicators.

The 1794-OB16 has an Operating Temperature range of 0 to 55 °C (32 to 131 °F), and storage temperature of 55 °C (131 °F) with shock and vibration rating of 30g and 5 g @ 10 to 500 Hz, respectively. This module carries c-UL-us, CSA, CE, Ex, TÜV, KC, EAC and RCM certifications.
